Working in conjunction with the sales team, this department develops new solutions for the customers, such as orthopedic braces, safety gear and military devices; but the emphasis today is placed in the development of new interactive materials, these materials, textile based soft goods, respond to external stimuli delivering different benefits to the user. Examples of these materials are fabrics that repel water but let air flow through them, fire resistant materials that are pliable and breathable, different temperature control systems, etc.
